It’s been a busy summer here at dbc, and we couldn’t be happier! As Fall settles in around Vancouver, we’re jumping in with two more series and a feature film to carry us into the new year.

We’ve been hard at work with “Strange Empire”, the highly anticipated new CBC series. Be sure to catch the premier on Monday, October 6th at 9:00pm! And if you can’t wait that long, check out this sizzle reel!

“Cedar Cove” Season 2 was here over the summer, and we’ve just wrapped up! A special ‘thank you!!’ to Post Supervisor Katie McFadden, and Producer Connie Dolphin for being such a pleasure to work with. dbc welcomes them both back in the coming months for “Mr. Miracle”, a film also directed by dbc’s friend Carl Bessai. Check out Carl Bessai’s other recent film, “Bad City”, brought in to dbc for mixing by our good friend Gord Hillier.

“Some Kind of Love”, a documnetary from Screen Siren Pictures Inc., is making it’s way over to the Rio theatre on October 10th at 7:00pm, as a part of the Vancouver International Film Festival. This beautiful story come from filmmaker Thomas Burstyn, as he follows the lives of his eccentric and complex Aunt and Uncle. He comes face to face with his own difficult past, and must confront his fractured relationship with his own brother.
