Well this looks different…
Welcome to our new website! The talented folks over at Ballistic Arts have been working with us over the last several months to put together what you’re seeing now. We’re very happy with the outcome, and look forward to keeping you up to date and in the know with what’s going on here at dbc!
For starters, we’re midway through the 4th and (sadly) final season of Motive. The season 4 premier will be hitting CTV on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016 at 10pm PST. For more info on the first episode of the season, read this article from CTV.
We’ve also been hard at work on the second season of Emergency Room: Life + Death at VGH. The season opener will be premiering on Knowledge Network in Spring 2016!
Also in the works are a couple of top secret projects we’re itching to tell you about!… But can’t quite yet. So stick around, check out the new site, and stay in touch!

Congratulations Charles Wilkinson and Tina Schliessler for your HUGE win at the 2015 Hot Docs Film Festival! Haida Gwaii: On the Edge of the World won Best Canadian Feature Documentary at this year’s awards. Take a look at the trailer here, and join us in wishing them the best on their festival circuit this summer!
Charles Wilkinson brings us another documentary this month
Haida Gwaii: On The Edge of the World, premiering at the Hot Docs Film Festival in Toronto at the end of April. “At a stunning low altitude, aerial cinematography sweeps over the Haida Gwaii, a breathtakingly beautiful archipelago off the British Columbia Northwest Coast. It takes us into the geographic heart of the Haida Gwaiian people, who thrived for more than 10,000 years until they were decimated through disease, rampant commercial logging and industrial over-fishing since contact.”
“The Legend of Barney Thomson” finishes up with us at the end of the month, and we’ve had an absolute blast working on it! Keep up to date with with it via their Facebook page, and do yourself a favor and go have a great laugh when it hits festivals soon!
We’re excited to begin work this month on “The Legend of Barney Thomson” with producer, director, and star, Robert Carlyle.
“Barney Thomson, awkward, diffident, Glasgow barber, lives a life of desperate mediocrity and his uninteresting life is about to go from 0 to 60 in five seconds, as he enters the grotesque and comically absurd world of the serial killer.”
Happy New Year! We’re back in the studio this month and picking up 2015 right where we left off in full swing.
